Builds under the administration of LOUIS XIV, the Canal of NOON is the most ancient canal of Europe still in functioning. This leak, imagined by the engineer Pierre-Paul Riquet, contains remarkable works which confer it an exceptional property interest.
Its importance is now recognized by the level International. UNESCO indeed decided to classify the Canal of Noon among 469 sites of the world heritage of the humanity.
The Canal du midi runs on 240 kilometres between the pond of Thau, near Sète, and Toulouse. Itis prolonged to The Atlantic Ocean by the side canal in the Garonne on 193 kilometres.
